NEXT... Making the Voice Modulator
The main top of the fender was made from a composite material called "Alupanel", which in a previous life had been the sign from a retirement home, and was rescued from a skip. See: skirt.
I started by measuring out the shape of the fender, and cutting the alupanel sheet to match. I then added some wood I had to give it a vertical face around the edge.
I found some wheels on a old cabinet in a skip, so they have become the Dalek's method of transport. I used some angle section aluminium I had knocking around to mount the main rear wheels, and left a caster wheel for the nose.
I took care to get the height of the wheels correct, so that the fender "hovers" above the floor by just the right amount..
