The Jet Mower Fire!
So, we had a bit of an issue when a pipe split.
The pipe in question was one carrying fuel to the reheat burner...
We didn't know the pipe had split, until we went to turn on the reheat, and had a petrol (gasoline) and diesel mix squirting over the hot jet-pipe, which vaporised and burst into flames.
Luckily, nobody was too badly hurt - Steve's face got burnt and suffered with blistering but recovered with no scars. I was lucky enough to be just out of reach of the flames when it went up.
This really highlights some of the possible dangers of operating anything home-made involving volatile substances and fire.
My dad took this video, you can hear him shouting "Scott, Back" when it went up, I was shouting back at him "Photo!!" when I saw him filming the grass...
