Integrated Flight Instrument System
- IFIS
The Integrated Flight Instrument System (IFIS), made by Smiths, is a display system which derives its information from central sensors, which also provide the required inputs for other aircraft systems, such as autopilot, radar, and weapons systems.
The invention of this system cut down on duplicated instrumetns such as gyros, pitot static transducers, etc...

Connection Diagram
I edited together two diagrams fromm the T5 Lightning "Vol-1" book (AP-101B-1005-1B, Sect-7, Chap-3A, Fig3 and 3a) to make the below diagram. It shows an overview of the system components and their interconnections (note the Air Ministry did make a mistake between cable FS4D and the port external cable duct).

I'm trying to find more technical details on these display units, with the hope of eventually simulating them. If nayone reading htis has any information on the internal circuit diagrams, and mechanics, please do get in touch!
